Vancouver Start-up Index - January 2008
This second edition of the Vancouver Start-up Index gets more interesting as we get to see some movement through the standings. The index ranks Vancouver-area start-ups based on an average of Alexa and Compete traffic rankings. Criteria and other details are available on the Start-up Index page.
Among the new additions, collaborative writing community Protagonize makes a high debut at #20 and Internet marketing firm WiderFunnel joins at #25. Also new to the list are Scrapboy, Mixx Maker, and Wurldtech.
If you have any suggestions for companies to add to the index, please post them in the comments for this post.

Funny, our Alexa rank (for Protagonize.com) jumped up to 432,003 the day after you posted this. :p
BTW, I wonder if including Google PageRank in the list would be valuable? (Not necessarily figuring in to the average/rankings, but just listed so we can compare.)

Hey guys, if you don’t count traffic coming through Facebook (which is probably not visible to Alexa and Compete) then some of those sites (including ours) are severely undercounted.
